IWP provides free* classroom instruction geared towards ASE certifications, and hands-on training implementing their classroom training on vehicles in real need.

The program is aimed at giving students the skills and connections needed to land an entry-level position in auto servicing.

What will I learn?

Technical Skills

For 6 weeks, our students work on real-world projects and in the classroom to gain exposure and training in a wide range of technical automotive servicing skills:

  • Lube Tech

  • Tire Tech

  • Car Detailer

  • Mechanical Assistant 

  • Diagnostics

Non-technical skills

Over the 6 weeks, our students work are trained on essential non-technical skills which they can carry into any line of work:

Wait for a program instructor to reach out to schedule an in-person interview.

Conduct in-person interview with program instructors and pass an expense free drug test.

Meet with our sponsors, New Mexico Workforce Solutions, at 2918 E Highway 66 Gallup, NM, to determine eligibility for part-time, job-site pay.
