What you learn
Each program covers a wide range of technical and non-technical skills critical to gaining an edge in the auto industry.
Technical Skills
For 8 weeks, our students work on real-world projects and in the classroom to gain exposure and training in a wide range of technical automotive servicing skills:
Diagnostics

Tires, brakes, and suspension
Engine operations and mechanics
Exposure to a variety of auto disciplines

Process
To get a priority spot, you must complete all steps as quickly as possible:
- Complete the form here
- Your IWP Case worker will reach out to schedule an interview
- Complete Interview with IWP
- Complete Orientation w/ American Job Center (scheduled by IWP)
- From there your acceptance and cohort placement will be assessed and determined
Required documents
- Driver’s License or State ID
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Selective Service registration (males born after Jan 1, 1960; must have registered by age 26)
- Proof of New Mexico residency
- Proof of household income (past 6 months)
- SNAP/TANF award letter (if provided, past 6 months income docs not required)
